Me: I am from the U.S. but now live on a kibbutz with my family and 1,000 other assorted people, dogs, cats, cows and olive trees. Our house is pretty much smack-in-between the baseball field and the cowbarn, which ensures that I get to hear the crack of the bat and smell cows while I paint.

Resume: After graduating from The Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, I worked at an ad agency and a fashion company before going rogue (freelance). I designed notebooks, wall art & giftbags, marketed my own baby t-shirt line, and licensed over 400 greeting cards to Recycled Paper Greetings. When the card market waned, I pivoted to writing and illustrating books for little kids, and was surprised to find that cards and board books are similar (stay with me here) in that they both try to get an idea across in very few words. I like that. So now I have a bunch of books out in the world, many of which are published by the amazing non-profit, PJ Library.

A Note: Alongside my bookmaking, I continue to illustrate, design, doodle, and license art when I can. I keep it all light and happy, to counter everything else going on in the world. If I could bring peace by drawing bunnies, that’s what I’d do.
